When we study artist and their artworks we also need to understand and investigate their intentions and ideas. Not all artworks have meanings that can be clearly understood, so it is the job of art critics and art historians to provide judgments and interpretations.
Look at the Dali artworks below and choose one to write an interpretative report on. An interpretative report is very similar to a descriptive report you wrote last year but it includes an interpretation of the meaning of the work. This may include an understanding of the art movement and the artist's intentions after research. By doing this you are becoming an art critic and historian.
