Curriculum overview

The St. George Madrid Primary curriculum offers a holistic and inclusive learning environment tailored to students’ developmental needs.

• Early Years (Pre-Nursery to Reception): Focuses on personal, social, and emotional growth, communication, language, physical development, literacy, and math, with interactive and play-based learning. Spanish is introduced in Reception.

• Lower Primary (Years 1–3): Emphasises core subjects (English, Math, Science) under the English National Curriculum, enhanced by the thematic International Primary Curriculum (IPC). Includes Spanish, ICT, PE, Music, and PSHE.

• Upper Primary (Years 4–6): Builds on earlier learning with a focus on confident learning, global awareness, and inquiry-based science. 

• International Primary Curriculum (IPC): Connects academic, personal, and global goals through thematic learning, fostering collaboration, communication, and critical thinking for a globally connected future.
