Students are currently exploring various aspects of Digital Citizenship that ties into Catholic Social Teachings and Virtues. Topics include empowering students to make safe, ethical, respectful, and informed choices online. Additionally, students will explore appropriate AI usage with Google Gemini.
This quarter, students will:
Develop and produce a school news broadcast for elementary and middle school audiences.
Learn and demonstrate basic broadcasting skills including anchoring, interviewing, filming, audio recording, and video editing.
Write concise, audience-appropriate scripts for news segments.
Use Microsoft Clipchamp to edit video segments.
Conduct interviews with students, teachers, and staff.
Demonstrate appropriate on-camera presence, speaking skills, and professionalism.
Work collaboratively while meeting production deadlines.
Evaluate and revise their work based on feedback.
Produce a completed broadcast that is approximately 6–8 minutes in length.
