all About Your Teacher

Welcome to STEAM! Here's a little bit about me... I am a native of Morgantown, but I also lived and taught in Florida and North Carolina; I began teaching in 2010 in grades K-6. My husband and I have three children who attend SFdSCCS! 

I hold a B.S. in Agribusiness Management and Rural Development from West Virginia University and an M.A. in Elementary Education from the same institution. Since receiving my master's degree, I have continued taking classes and pursuing professional development in the following areas: art integration and STEAM, digital citizenship, English as a Second Language, mathematics, reading strategies, and various classroom management styles. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Marshall University. 

I look forward to working with you in STEAM class and continuing the Trojan News! We will have so much fun learning and using science, technology, engineering, the arts, & math!

Fun Fact: My husband is an alumnus of SFdSCCS, and our children are the fourth generation to attend school here!
