Welcome to STEAM! I am excited to return to St. Francis de Sales Central Catholic School and teach STEAM this year. This will be my tenth year at SFdSCCS! I taught third grade from 2011 to 2012 and fifth grade from 2017 to 2022. Overall, I have been an educator for fifteen years. I am a native of Morgantown, but I also lived and taught in Florida and North Carolina. My husband and I have three children who attend SFdSCCS!
I hold a B.S. in Agribusiness Management and Rural Development from West Virginia University and an M.A. in Elementary Education from the same institution. Since receiving my master's degree, I have continued taking classes and pursuing professional development in the following areas: art integration and STEAM, digital citizenship, English as a Second Language, mathematics, reading strategies, and various classroom management styles. Currently, I am pursuing my doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Marshall University.
I look forward to working with you in STEAM class and continuing the Trojan News! We will have so much fun learning and using science, technology, engineering, the arts, & math!
