Dr. Stephen Schueller is an Associate Professor of Psychological Science and Informatics at UC Irvine. He directs the Technology and Mental Health (TEAM) Lab, and is a member of UCI’s Connected Learning Lab
Stephen is a clinical psychologist and mental health service researcher who studies how technology can improve mental health services by expanding access and improving accessibility. His work includes the development, evaluation, and implementation of digital mental health products in diverse settings and populations. He is also the Executive Director of OneMind Psyberguide.org.
Dr. Schueller’s research has been supported by National Institute of Mental Health, the Jacobs Foundation, Pivotal Ventures, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. He has received Rising Star Awards from the Association for Psychological Science and the International Society for Research on Internet Interventions, and a Mid-Career Investigator Award from the Association from Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Tech Special Interest Group.
He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of California, Riverside, his PhD in clinical psychology from the University of Pennsylvania, and completed his clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco.
Jodi, the creator of WellCheq, is a former high school teacher passionate about supporting students and cultivating their potential. She is fascinated by how stress affects the brains and bodies of our children.
Jodi graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with her BA in the Biological Basis of Behavior in 2014 and with her Master’s degrees in Education Policy and Secondary Education in 2015. After leaving Penn, she taught 10th grade biology and 12th grade anatomy in Philadelphia for three years. During her tenure, she loved watching her students thrive. Together, they achieved a 400% increase in proficiency on the state Biology exam. Together, they achieved a 400% increase in proficiency on the state Biology exam.
Jodi’s experience teaching inspired her to pursue a PhD. At the Johns Hopkins University School of Education, she focuses on how experiencing trauma can affect students’ ability to achieve at their highest level. Her research examines how aspects of school climate can serve as a buffer against stress. Jodi loves working with students and teachers, whose roles are complex, crucial, and extremely rewarding. Not all superheroes wear capes :)
Chris is a member of the teaching faculty at Bryn Mawr College, where he teaches courses on programming and software engineering, and works with students as Department Program Coordinator.
His current academic interests include student mental health; diversity, equity, and inclusion in Computer Science; student contributions to open source software projects; and online learning.
He previously served as a member of the teaching faculty at the University of Pennsylvania, where he received a Provost's Award for Teaching Excellence in 2019 and was Co-Director of the MCIT Online program.
Prior to embarking on his career in academia, he completed a PhD in Computer Science at Columbia University, where his research focused on software testing. Before that, he worked as a professional software developer in Boston, San Francisco, and London after earning a BS in Computer Engineering from Boston University.

Neil is currently the product lead for Food at Google. Previously, he led the product teams at BrowserStack, CrossLead, and his own startup, ReelSurfer. His work has been featured in Forbes, TechCrunch, the Boston Globe and the New York Times with television appearances on ABC's Shark Tank and Fox. Neil graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor's degree in Management Science and Engineering.
