Ashish: I haven’t finalized a specific project yet, but I plan to work on something cross-disciplinary that combines circuits, programming, and mechanical engineering. I feel confident in my skills with embedded systems and coding, and I want to apply them to a project with real-world impact. I have a team in mind, and over the summer we will research ideas that fit all our disciplines. One area we are interested in is improving safety in automobiles.
Owusu Kwaku: For my senior design, I am particularly interested in focusing on GPS and navigation. This would require me to have more knowledge and experience with Bluetooth, but I am ready to face the challenge.
Yazen: I'm still brainstorming ideas for my senior design project, but I know I want to work on something involving circuitry and embedded design. Most likely will work with electrical and environmental engineering aspects. With my team we will hopefully come up with something that fits all of our disciples and can make a lasting impact. So far, we've thought about a device that processes environmental data on the go, but still need to brainstorm more and think of different ideas.
Corinthian: For my senior design project, I plan to develop a vehicle diagnostic and performance monitoring system tailored specifically for enthusiast-level automobiles. It will connect to a vehicle's OBD-II port and use additional sensors to track engine stats, fuel efficiency, and other data, which will be displayed through a mobile app. This combines my computer engineering skills with my passion for cars.
