Task: Drone seeks out an appropriate path to search the disaster scene
Design Goal: Algorithm shall find the optimal path with highest probability of discovering humans, while updating search based on new information
Design Specification: Algorithm is able to make decisions based on historical data, camera footage, and coverage of other drones, new geographical/terrain data, discovery of humans, and executive commands from medical personnel
Task: Drones will coordinate with each other to determine which areas to search
Design Goal: Specific zones of a disaster area shall be allocated to each droneĀ
Design Specification: A communication protocol will allow drones to work together without sharing routes
Task: Taking the large collection of information from the drones and providing it to responders as efficiently as possible. It is important that data is not double counted by multiple drones
Design Goal: Create communications network to provide the data to both some HQ and also first responders on the ground via some app
Design Specification: It needs to be accessible to not be a burden on the responders and continuous as to have the most updated information
Task: Drone collects and indexes data from the disaster site
Design Goal: To create an accessible log of information that drones can use to pursue more efficient search and rescue
Design Specification: Should collect gps data on location of victims as well as location and timestamps on locations searched
