Our project, Autonomous Medical Disaster Search Drone, shall aid in identifying victims in mass casualty incidents. We shall do this by implementing drones with sensors to search disaster areas and report their findings to emergency responders.
Steps:
Project Initiation/Planning
Design and Prototyping
Hardware Development
Software Development
Finalization & Installation
Hardware Team:
Damien McDevitt
Steve Serrano
Software Team:
Dylan Ramcharitar
Jamie Mwai
Sean Tu
These groups will head the software and hardware development, but all members will be working on each phase due to the the distinct times at which they will take on our Gantt chart (See 11.2).
Hardware:
Develop drones such as chassis and electrical system.
Integrate sensors such as thermal imaging, infrared cameras, and Lidar for comprehensive data collection.
Ensure durability and reliability for deployment in harsh disaster environments.
Software:
Develop AI search algorithm and logic for path-finding.
Implement logic for efficient path-finding to cover disaster areas systematically.
Integrate real-time data processing to rapidly analyze and relay findings to emergency responders.
