The goal of this project was to construct and program a robot to move to a certain area and hit a target. The robot would detect location based on floor patterns using a subsystem we nicknamed "the diaper". This contained a photo-resistor. The robot could detect when it it a wall using the bumper subsystem we called "the wings".
We came in 5th place overall which was impressive considering our team had no background doing this type of thing at the time.
The project was a success and lead to a future of learning hardware and software at Stevens
