4.1: Optimization
One key area we optimized was the dispensary itself. We conducted extensive testing with various pill sizes to ensure consistent and accurate dispensing across all types. Based on the results, we made mechanical and software adjustments to improve precision. These changes significantly reduced jamming and misfeeds, enhancing overall reliability and user confidence.
4.2: Delivery
We have been working hard to make sure that all different pill sizes would be able to dispense through our system. Here are some photos of our Final Design for the Innovation Expo:
4.3: Management
The dispensary mechanism was invented and designed by Leor Yomtobian, Greyson Richards and Ryan Tierney. The chute that stores and dispenses the medication was designed by Greyson Richards, and the component that connects the eight chutes together was designed by Ryan Tierney. The concept of the mechanism was formulated by Ryan, Greyson, and Leor.
Danny Moss was the lead of the Software Engineering team with help from Leor Yomtobian. They worked together on the user interface, and connections of the sensors, motors and display in order to make sure they all work properly in accordance to the project.
The exterior shell, which houses the dispensing components and electronics, was designed, modeled, and 3D printed by Dylan Ramcharitar and Jamie Mwai. The integration of all the components of the final design (electrical, mechanical, etc.) was also done by this team.
