The goal of this project is to upgrade a DJI Mavic 2 Pro Quadrotor drone to be able to locate and deliver a payload through the addition of a gripper arm and autonomous capabilities. In other words, the AAM has the capability to autonomously fly a drone, locate objects, and withstand the added weight of a payload. While this project has many possible use cases such as food delivery or disaster aid, the team is focusing on the specific use case of emergency medical services through delivering first aid kits. The AAM would be a useful tool to this department as it allows them to be in two places at once through delivering medical supplies in hard-to-reach areas.
