My name is George Cai, I was born in Tianjin China and I came to US when I was 15. I graduated from Fordham University Gabelli School of Business with a major in Finance. I am a creative and highly collaborative person. I look forward to working with other cohort leaders to oversee internal communication and organize interesting social/ team-building events to build cohort cohesion and enhance our student experience.
Hi everyone, I am Lucas (Zixiao) Liu. I graduated from UC Santa Barbara, and my majors were Sociology and Economics. After talking to the former MSQF cohort leaders in the past few days, I think the central responsibility of the cohort leader is to make the upcoming year an enjoyable one. It means helping the cohort members build a deeper bond with each other, speaking for the cohort in front of the faculty, and striving for your professional success. I believe I have what it takes to achieve these results.
First, I am an effective communicator. I have been an Economics Teaching Assistant since my third year. I have developed the comfort of speaking in front of groups and working with faculty through this role, so I can effectively communicate your needs to the operation team.
Moreover, I am a good event planner. During my undergraduate studies, I was the Vice President of a fraternity on-campus. I organized inter-club socials, quarterly retreats, and professional workshops. I love to see people forming new connections and friendships through these events. I would love to help you connect with your classmates through various social events and also facilitate your job search by providing you with useful resources.
I want to be the cohort leader because I want to connect with everyone on a personal level and help you succeed, and I believe I have the relevant skillsets to be a good cohort leader; I would make sure we have a lot of fun and form a deeper bond with each other in this year. Let’s study hard but also play harder.
