Take college classes and earn both high school and college credit.
Dual Enrollment is a great opportunity for students to earn both high school and college credit. Students can take a class through a Georgia college or technical school, and it will be paid for through state funds. There may be a supply fee that the student is responsible for, which depends on the class. Students can take up to 30 hours of credits with this funding (that is equivalent to one year of college, paid for!) If you are interested in taking a dual enrollment class, please reach out to your counselor of LaDonna Bartmas, Dual Enrollment Coordinator. Students need to complete an admission application for the college in which they want to dual enroll and complete the funding application at GaFutures. Students in grades 10th-12th are eligible for dual enrollment; 10th grade students can take a Career Tech class such as business, cosmetology, etc., and 11th & 12th grade students can take an academic class or Career Tech class.

You will need to schedule an advisement meeting with the SCHS DE Coordinator. You DO NOT have to wait until after you have met with the SCHS DE Coordinator at SCHS to apply to a college.
Your SCHS schedule will not be changed until the college schedule has been received.
