Hello!!!
I am Mrs. Mabeus, and I am so excited to teach your child 7th grade religion this year!! I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education and Human Development from UNK & UNL and my Master of Education in Curriculum & Instruction, and Early Childhood Education from Doane University.
I was raised in Shelton, Nebraska, and I enjoy going back to spend time with my mom and aunt in the summer gathering produce to freeze, going for walks around town and down the country roads among the peaceful cornfields that I used to once irrigate, and walking through town stopping to visit with whoever crosses my path. Each day back home in the summer includes a day at the pool with the neighbor kids and ends with a root beer float before they walk home.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with family especially my new little nephew, attending country music concerts, particularly Morgan Wallen, working at the College World Series, going for walks, golfing, working in the yard, skiing, hiking, cooking and baking, and spending time with family. I love being outside! I am fortunate enough to live two blocks from my sister and brother-in-law so of course, that means I get a lot of spoiling in with the nieces and nephews. I love everything about the holidays, and you'll catch me planning the next one right after we're finished celebrating the day that is upon us.
I truly love teaching and being part of the amazing SSM community! I love building positive relationships with my students each year and I can't wait to get started on our journey through the New Testament! Please reach out to me anytime!
