Message from YMCA Camp Colman regarding mail:
Please allow enough time for the mail to reach your camper before the end of his or her session. Please do not send any food to campers. Food in cabins invites unwelcome visitors (animals!). Additionally, camp is a peanut-free zone. Any food or candy containing peanuts or processed in a facility with peanuts will be taken and returned at the end of camp. Packages received after the camper’s session has ended will be returned at the sender’s expense. The last camper mail drop is on Friday. When sending care packages, encourage your camper to share with the entire cabin – this will help maintain a happy, social dynamic. Ideas for things to send to your camper include: books, cards, address books, small stuffed animals, and/or items to share with a group.Since we discourage cell phones at camp, please know you can call YMCA's camp director at any time to contact your child. We are trying to make this an authentic and unique experience, having students un-plug for three days and interact face to face on a regular basis.
