Underwood Dudley, PhD
Professor of Mathematics, DePauw University
Dudley has taught at DePauw since 1967. He specializes in number theory, and his interests include recreational mathematics and dispelling misconceptions about mathematics. He has written four books and edited one, including Numerology, which was named one of the outstanding academic books of1998 by Choice magazine. He also has written nearly 20 papers and published three essay reviews and six commentaries. He received the 2004 Meritorious Service Award from the Mathematical Association of America. Dudley holds a BS and MS in mathematics from the Carnegie Institute of Technology and a PhD in mathematics–number theory from the University of Michigan.

David L. Lambert, PhD

Lambert has taught at UT–Austin since 1969. His primary interests are in observational aspects of cosmochemistry: applications of spectroscopy to the determinations of the chemical compositions of astronomical objects. A majority of his work concerns stellar spectroscopy from which the compositions of stellar atmospheres are derived and applied to a variety of problems, principally the chemical evolution of our galaxy and the evolution of red giants. He also has worked on the spectra of interstellar diffuse clouds, the identification of molecules in stellar atmospheres and the excitation of molecules in comets. He holds a BA in physics from University College, Oxford, and a DPhil in astrophysics from Balliol College, Oxford.

Bernard F. Morrey, MD
Biomechanics Researcher, Mayo Clinic
Morrey is currently an orthopedic surgeon at the Mayo Clinic of Rochester, Minn. He serves as a member of the clinic’s Board of Governors and is emeritus chairman and professor in the Department of Orthopedics for the Mayo Clinic/Mayo Foundation. Morrey also is chairman of the Board of Trustees of The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery and a member of the Board of Trustees of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons. He holds a BA in mathematics and philosophy from St. Bernard College in Cullman, Ala., an MS in biomechanical orthopedics from the University of Minnesota, and an MD from UT–Medical Branch in Galveston.
