Rev. Peter Klein

Years in Office: 1895-1899

Father Peter Klein focussed on recruitment as one of his first tasks as president, securing 182 students to enroll for the1895-1896 academic year. During his first year he also laid the first stone of the extension that added classrooms to Main Building. The next year he oversaw the construction of an auditorium called Exhibition Hall (now known as the Queen of Peace Chapel), which was funded entirely by donations. He would spend a significant amount of time in Exhibition Hall, serving as moderator of the Dramatics Club and directing the chapel choir.
