Welcome to St. Cyril!
Use this site as a check list to help you get started at SCJ.
Dear St. Cyril Families,
We hope you are soaking up the summer and making wonderful memories with family and friends. Here at St. Cyril, we have been busy behind the scenes preparing for another joyful school year, and we wanted to take a moment to touch base with a Welcome Back Checklist which includes everything you need to get ready for the first day of school. We also want to make sure every parent and guardian who hopes to volunteer on campus or chaperone a field trip this year has what they need to get started early.
Volunteering This Year
All adults who wish to volunteer on campus, on field trips, or for any school-related opportunities are required to complete the initial three-hour VIRTUS® Protecting God's Children for Adults training before they are able to volunteer or chaperone. In addition, all adult volunteers must be fingerprinted through the Archdiocese. Both requirements — fingerprinting and a completed VIRTUS class — are necessary for anyone who wants to volunteer at school, so we encourage you to take advantage of these early opportunities to be ready to jump in from the very first days of school.
On-Campus Fingerprinting — August 19th, 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM
For our families' convenience, we will be offering an on-campus fingerprinting opportunity on August 19th from 2:30 PM – 4:30 PM, the same day as our school orientation. There is a $40 fee due that day.
Important: If you plan to be fingerprinted on campus on August 19th, you must follow the instructions in the flyer below and submit the required form to the Archdiocese no later than July 31st. This deadline allows the Archdiocese ample time to process your paperwork ahead of our on-campus date, and appointments cannot be guaranteed without it. Please see the flyer below for full details or click HERE
If you would prefer not to pay the $40 fee, you are welcome to have your fingerprints taken instead at the Archdiocese offices downtown.
VIRTUS Training — August 27th, 5:00 PM
We are also offering a VIRTUS training opportunity on campus on August 27th at 5:00 PM. There are 30 spots available. If you would like to attend, please email Mrs. Cohen at ecohen@stcyrilschool.org to reserve your spot.
As you scroll below, you will find everything you need to start the year off well, including registration and tuition management, school uniform, hot lunch, morning care and after school care, parent communication, summer math and reading lists, swim team, the school calendar, fingerprinting, VIRTUS training, St. Cyril Parish, and important contact information.
We can't wait to welcome everyone back to campus and are so grateful for the many families who give their time to our school community. Thank you for helping us get the year off to a great start!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Pugliese, Mrs. Cohen & The Leadership Team
Mr. Ferris & Mrs, Lopez
