Study Hall

Attendance in Study Hall is mandatory - Failure to appear on time to your study hall will result in disciplinary consequences. Only one student at a time may leave the study hall to go to the drinking fountain, bathroom, or to his/her locker. When leaving the study hall, each student must sign-out on the sign-out sheet.

The music department often uses study hall time for individual/small group lessons. Students must check-in with the study hall teacher prior to going to any music lessons in order to be counted for attendance.

Students may not go to other places besides the drinking fountain; bathroom, his/her own locker, the High School Office, band/choir lessons, or the Media Center unless the students have a pre-signed pass. Students must return to the study hall before the end of the period & sign back in, unless previous arrangements have been made. The study hall supervisor will check each student’s pass upon his/her return to make sure students have returned in reasonable time & that his/her pass book was signed.

*** Students must bring something to work on; failure to do so will result in a detention. Study Halls are to be used for educational purposes (i.e. to do homework, receive help/tutoring, etc.) Students are not allowed to play cards or any type of games during study hall. Study halls are not to be used as a time to sit and socialize. Study halls will be quiet places.

A student unable to handle his/her time during study hall responsibly will be assigned detention or other consequences.
