I’m so happy to welcome your family to fourth grade!
This year, we’ll be reading, writing, growing in our faith, and becoming more independent learners.
Some of the things we’ll be working on include:
Reading: Wayside School and reading comprehension
Writing: Personal narratives and descriptive writing
Religion: Mass, the Eucharist, and our Catholic faith
Fourth grade is a year of learning, growing, and figuring things out. I’m excited to get to know your child and see all they accomplish this year.
We are really working on independence this year. Please encourage your child to take responsibility for their homework, materials, and assignments.
We want students to get into the habit of checking what they need, keeping track of their things, and trying to solve small problems on their own before asking for help.
These are little skills, but they make a big difference.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions, concerns, or updates about your child. I’m always happy to hear from you.

Please allow 24 hours for a response during the school week.
Your child deserves a classroom and a home filled with encouragement, consistency, high expectations, and love.
We are on the same team. Together, we can help your child become a confident, responsible, thoughtful learner who knows they are valued and capable.
Thank you for partnering with me as we learn, grow, serve, and shine throughout this beautiful year at St. Christina. I look forward to all that God has in store for our fourth-grade classroom, our families, and our faith community.
