***Daily All About Me Activities***
Monday: Today we will learn about your child through discussion about his/her favorite things. Also, you may bring in a few photos, a photo collage, or a PowerPoint of photos that tell about you. These pictures may show you, your family, your house, your pets, your friends, trips, events, classes, hobbies, or anything else that is special about you.
*Tuesday: This morning, it’s your turn for “Show-and-Tell” in our class. Bring in a favorite thing (toy, hobby, collection, trophy, project, souvenir, etc.) and be ready to tell us about it during snack time. It should help us to learn more about you. (No pets, please!)
*Wednesday: This afternoon you will demonstrate something that you know how to make or how to do. You will explain to the class how to do or make something. This might be how to make a craft, build something, write something, cook something, sew something, draw something, etc. This might be how to play a sport or game, golf, basketball, soccer, skiing, tubing, gymnastics, martial arts, etc. This might be explaining a hobby such as fishing, chess, rock collecting, gardening, archery, playing music, etc. This might be about a current interest such as bug collecting, snowmobiling, etc. It doesn't have to be a huge project or activity. The whole class doesn’t have to do the project, just demonstrate or tell us how it's done. Since we are in a classroom some activities may just be explained, not actually shown, like swimming or soccer. Bring in props or examples if you want to make your demonstration more interesting.
*Thursday: Bring in a favorite book or story to share. Easy books are fine for this! I will read the book aloud to the class during snack time. Tonight you will take home the mystery box and put one item of your choice inside. You must create 3 clues to help the students solve the mystery and figure out what item is inside.
*Friday: Today you will share the mystery box with the class. You will place an item inside (at home) and come up with 3 clues for the class to help guess the mystery object. (Optional) This morning you may also bring in non-edible treats/items to share with the whole class. Some examples: erasers, seashells, stickers, pencils, bookmarks, notes, drawings, prayer cards.

Students also have access to RazKids, SplashLearn (Math), and Superkids Online Fun Portal
Superkids Reading Program
Students will spend a lot of time learning their letters and sounds with our new friends, The SUPERKIDS! You will be able to see them transform into early readers using this amazing phonics-based program. During second semester we will add in the RazKids online reading program to allow your child to read books at home at their specific reading level.
MyMath
McGraw-Hill My Math provides the rigor, personalization and student engagement needed for your child to be successful with the Wisconsin Archdiocean Standards for Math. The engaging SmartBoard lessons provided interactive instruction and practice. They will learn to count, read and write their numbers, add, subtract and work with geometrical figures and shapes. All lessons are done in the most engaging way possible with hands-on manipulative practice for each lesson. Students will also utilize the SplashMath online program to improve their math skills and understanding.
I Am Special: Religious Education Program
Students will learn many of our Catholic Social teachings through bible and flannel board stories and colorful activity pages. These lessons will help them learn about their relationship with God and how to lead a Catholic moral life.
Time for Kids: Social Studies and Current Events
We are so lucky to have TFK provided for our students in both paper and digital copy this year. Students will learn valuable lessons through interactive SmartBoard activities.
Let's Find Out: Science/STEM Stations
Students will be learning a lot about the life cycle of plants and butterflies as well as learning how to journal their observations of living things within the classroom. Our Let's Find Out subscription gives both a paper and digital experience for other scientific topics of study that we are going to learn. Twice a week the students will also rotate through STEM stations in the classroom to work on engineering, buoyancy, force and motion. They will also have weekly Tech lessons and access to our hub of classroom computers each day at Center time.
Center Time: Free Choice Play
This is the heart of the most important social lessons that your child will experience in Kindergarten through play!
