Helpful Handbook Reminders:
Navy has been added to approved list of colors for all student polos.
Only stud earrings are able to be worn to school (limited to 1–2 per earlobe ≤ ½ inch diameter). No other type of earrings (dangle, hoop, etc) or other body piercings permitted.
Students with symptoms of a fever of 100°F or higher, vomiting, or diarrhea must stay home until they have been completely free of symptoms for 24 hours without medication.
Families at St. Cecilia are required to perform a minimum of 25 hours of service each school year. These hours must be completed by the end of May and are recorded in your iVolunteer account(s).
Soda, soft drinks or carbonated beverages are not allowed at lunch or throughout the school day.
Make-Up & Nails: No makeup is allowed (also applies to out-of-uniform days). Nails may be painted in a single solid color. Nail art, designs, patterns, and added decorations or gems are not permitted. Non-compliant professional nails must be removed within 1 week. Fingernails may not extend more than 1 cm past the edge of the fingertip when viewed from the palm side. Artificial nails, acrylics, and extensions are strongly discouraged and must still comply with all school length and safety standards.
Boys' Hair: Clean, well-groomed, natural color, above the collar, and halfway above the bottom of the earlobe. Must clear the eyebrows when flattened on the forehead. Prohibited: facial hair, sideburns below the earlobe, mohawks/fauxhawks, bleaching/coloring, letters/symbols/carvings, or sweeping hair to one side to disguise length.
Morning drop off begins at 7:40 AM, doors open at 7:50 AM. Dropoff occurs in the ENTIRE space between the crosswalks. Please CAREFULLY pull all the way up to the middle (2nd) crosswalk to drop off your student(s).
Winter Weather Dress Code: On days with a high lower than 50 degrees, all students need to have their legs covered (khaki pants, leggings, joggers - no sweatpants)
Devices: Phones or smart watches need to be checked into the office at the beginning of the school day and picked up at the end of the school day. All devices are put away while on campus, even outside.
Homework: Students will not be allowed to call home for homework during the school hours.
