Word Games: Teaching Writing through Play

This interactive session will discuss the practice of teaching writing through play.  Specifically, it will introduce (and invite participants to play) a collection of "word games" that engage students in developing fundamental writing skills.

Presenter: 

James Riddle (pronouns he/his) is an Assistant Professor of English.  He received his MA and PhD in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and subsequently taught at the College of Staten Island in the City University of New York.  He began teaching at STCC in 2018.
