SESSION 3: 2:00pm-2:50pm | F | Room 415

This presentation will explain and offer tools, strategies and methods used to teach, motivate and engage with Gateway to College  students.  Topics include how to set clear, explicit expectations, model appropriate student behavior, manage challenging behaviors, create routines and effectively communicate with colleagues to help students succeed.

Presenter:

Elizabeth Swain, has been an adjunct instructor at Springfield Community Technical College since 2019.   She is particularly interested in how to most effectively reach struggling students, both online and in-person.  Before coming to STCC, she taught Special Education for the Springfield Public Schools.
