What Data Is Available at Our College? A Practical Overview for Faculty and Staff
Understanding what data is available at the college—and how to use it appropriately—can help faculty and staff support students and make informed decisions. This session will provide an overview of the types of data the college collects and how to request it for use in everyday work, planning, or reporting. We’ll also discuss general principles for using data responsibly, including protecting student privacy and understanding appropriate data sharing practices. The session will conclude with a brief explanation of the IRB (Institutional Review Board) process and its application. Whether you’re working on a grant, writing a report, or just curious about the data available to you, this session will give you practical information and helpful resources.
