SBA Library Rules and Procedures

• Students may not check out more than two books at a time and must return at least one before getting another (1st level begins the year with one book at a time)

• The loan period is for two weeks (there are no late fees) and can be renewed once.

• Lost or damaged-beyond-repair books are charged a standard fee: $10.00 for paperbacks and $20.00 for hardcovers. Please do not send replacement books as that does not cover the costs of processing and materials for cataloging.

• No penalties are incurred for minor damage (ex: page torn) or damage as a result of age of book (ex: cover separation), but please do not mend these at home. Students should bring the book to librarian for proper mending.

• Late notices are sent quarterly. Books that are often thought to be lost usually turn up eventually. Keep looking! The library would rather have the processed book back than purchase and process another.
