January Life Skills will focus on conflict resolution skills.

Additionally, grades K-8 will engage in the second Empowering God's Children Lesson starting on January 12th.  Parents/guardians can opt their students out by contacting the office. If you have any questions regarding this lesson, please  contact me via email at ssolinski@stbartseb.com.

Life Skills will be held bi-weekly in each classroom, including Pre-K. Lessons follow the CASEL (Collaborative for Academic Social Emotional Learning) standards for Social Emotional Learning (SEL), including topics from the following domains:  self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making. Each month will have a particular focus, and each grade will be learning about the same topic at the appropriate developmental level. 

Counseling services continue to be offered  during the school day. Please see the "Counseling Services" tab above for additional information. If your student received services during the 2024-2025school year, new consent forms will automatically be sent home. Please note on the form whether you are accepting or declining services for this academic year. It is helpful for me to know whether you will plan to continue services so I can properly arrange my schedule, and ensure a space is available for your student. Please note that frequency of sessions is based on the acuity of the issues presented, however students can always request a session on a week they are not scheduled.
