I hope everyone had a great weekend after the first full week of school!
Back to School Night will be on Wednesday, September 19th. Please meet in the cafeteria at 6:30. I look forward to meeting everyone then!
Please return green test folders every Monday including all graded papers. Test folders include all graded tests, quizzes, classwork, and weekly communication forms. Please sign all graded papers and weekly communication sheets prior to their return.
Upcoming assessments and quizzes: Math Quiz- on rounding to underlined digit, place value, expanded form, and word form (Thursday, September 20th); Social Studies Quiz Unit 1, Lesson 1 pages 11-15 (Friday, September 21st); Reading Comprehension/Vocabulary Test, Unit 1, Week 2 (Friday, September 21st); Spelling/Grammar, Unit 1, Week 2 (Monday, September 24th). A study guide for social studies will be provided on Monday.
This week in Science we will continue learning about energy and motion. The class will complete a science project called "Rubber Band Racers" to explore ways to create our own moving toys! In Social Studies we will continue learning about the regions of New Jersey. ELA will focus on the genre of realistic fiction. In Religion, we will conclude our first chapter on Jesus- the Way, the Truth, and the Life.
Many forms were sent home last week on after school activities. Please consider signing up for beginning band and chorus with our new music teacher, Mrs. Kinnucane! Information packets on the magazine and cookie dough sale were also distributed. Please see the weekly communication envelope for additional information.
