I hope you enjoyed the weekend!

Congratulations to Mrs. McAndrew and the entire cast/crew of Once Upon a Mattress on a wonderful performance!

Wednesday May 22nd is Barnes and Noble Night at the East Brunswick location (by the Brunswick Square Mall) from 5-8 PM. This is a great way to purchase your summer reading books, support your school, and have some fun! There will be crafts, stories, and performances by the SBS band and cast of Once Upon a Mattress. Hope to see you there!

Friday, May 24th is a half day, and school is closed on Monday, May 27th in observance of Memorial Day. Please note school is also closed on Friday, May 31st.

Please note changes in the test schedule:

Upcoming assessments and quizzes: Wednesday, May 29th math test Chapter 8; social studies quiz Unit 3, Lesson 3 Thursday, May 30th (study guide posted).

This week in math we will complete Chapter 8- multiply fractions by whole numbers .We will start a math project where students will create their own math board game (this project will replace the geometry project). Students will be able to trade games and play them in June. In science, we have started learning about animals with exoskeletons. Students will be creating their own insect with emphasis on designing the outer protective shell, and then testing its strength against certain environmental factors. In social studies we will conclude the lesson on World War I and II, and we will choose secret historical figures for our Tea Party.

There is no after school math practice this week. Please contact me if your student needs additional math support and I will arrange a time during lunch/recess to provide individualized help. After school help is available upon request.

Thank you for all you do!

The mission of Saint Bartholomew School is to love, educate, and inspire our children to live the teachings of Jesus Christ.
