Dance at KS3

Throughout KS3, the aim is to develop and build on the skills from year 7 through to year 9 based on Choreography, Performance and Appreciation. Dance will support students in developing many transferable skills enhance their awareness and understanding of various cultures, dance styles, world wide projects/companies, current affairs and perspectives. This will enable them to discuss and explore a range of historical dance elements, styles and projects sensitively, demonstrating tolerance, respect and flexibility of thought. We aim to challenge and promote innovation and new ways of thinking to enhance a student’s holistic educational experience.
