I grew up in Staunton and live here with my husband, two children (Lucas & Danika), & pets (Axel & Auggie). We love to travel, watch sports, and binge Netflix shows. Lucas is in 10th grade (he will get his license in October!) at SHS and Danika is one of your classmates in 8th grade!

I graduated from SHS in 2000, Blackburn College in 2004, and have taught multiple grades in my 20 years of teaching! This will be my first year teaching 8th grade, but I have spent time in 1st, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade throughout my career. I cannot wait to be your ELA teacher this year!

As an ELA teacher, I'm sure it's no surprise that I love to read. However, it's true! I also love coaching cheerleading & watching my kids play sports and participate in their extracurricular activities. I really enjoy traveling, shopping, chocolate, and caffeine in all forms too!
