Description: As we enter this new era for SWAP, we are not drifting — we are navigating. This spring is about looking forward, adjusting our flight path when needed, and staying aligned with our mission to improve outcomes for youth.
Mission Focus: Forward Momentum: This year, we continue building on the spirit of our online learning management system, Launchpad Odyssey. These words still evoke a sense of wonder, curiosity, and possibility. They remind us that exploration, whether in space or in our professional practice expands knowledge, sharpens skill, and challenges us to think differently about what is possible for the youth we serve.
But this year, our journey carries an added focus.
Change can feel like turbulence, but it is often the force that propels us into our next level of impact. Today, we focus on what’s ahead — not what’s behind.
As SWAP continues to evolve, we recognize that growth requires both courage and adaptability. Space exploration teaches us that course corrections are not signs of failure; they are signs of navigation. In the same way, our work calls us to stay mission-driven, future-focused, and committed to continuous improvement as we support youth with disabilities in their transition to the adult world of work.
Our agenda features intentionally designed sessions and valued partners who will share their insights and expertise. Together, these thought-provoking messages will challenge us to embrace change, refine our systems, and drive measurable progress as we strengthen our trajectory.
We have also intentionally built in time for individual team networking, partner collaboration, and dedicated connection with the State Team. We encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity tonight to forge new connections, share lessons learned, and strengthen relationships that extend beyond this conference.
As we embark on this next phase together, let us approach change with patience, clarity, and forward focus. Let us commit to steady progress, thoughtful implementation, and shared accountability. Most importantly, let us keep our eyes on the horizon — ensuring that every adjustment we make strengthens outcomes for the youth we serve.
Thank you for being part of the 2026 SWAP Statewide Conference. We look forward to a meaningful, energizing, and future-focused experience together.
