On March 10, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced an additional extension for the implementation of all revised surveyor guidance, now set for April 28, 2025, as detailed in QSO-25-14-NH. Initially released in November 2024, the guidance has seen multiple extensions from its original February implementation date.

Enrolled skilled nursing facilities should collect data on ownership, managerial, and related party information and submit their revalidation by May 1. See Become a Medicare Provider or Supplier for more information.
NOTE: Your Medicare Administrative Contractor (MAC) should have sent a revalidation notice last fall.
