1 CE credit for NHAs, DONs, and Nurses
About the session:
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services had finalized the minimum staffing requirements for nursing homes. The final rule will require nursing homes to provide a minimum of 3.48 hours of nursing care per resident day, including 0.55 hours of care from a registered nurse per resident day and at least 2.45 hours of care from a nurse aide per resident day, as well as 24/7 onsite RN services. The “Facility Assessment” must reflect organizational efforts to ensure the nursing home can meet the resident's physical, psychosocial, and behavioral conditions. The overarching goal within the regulatory guidance requires that the facility assessment be updated, using evidence-based, data-driven considerations of the overall acuity of the population. Plan to attend this session and learn about the impact of the staffing mandate.
