MDS 3.0 Basics: A Living Assessment Using the Resident's Voice
Dates: February 15th & 16th, 2022
Participants will become familiar with the RAI Manual and MDS 3.0 forms; MDS coding, CAT's and CAA's, as well as OBRA and PPS schedules. Attendees will received education, resources and tools to understand the MDS process; make clinical improvements in their facilities; understand the basics of reimbursement, as well as automation; and be practice with their long term care state survey. At the completion of this course participants will be able to: Describe Federal requirements for Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), apply RAI to MDS, CAT's and CAA's to develop an individualized care plan, understand the importance of and methods for resident interview for pain, PHQ9, BIMS, and preferences for Customary Routine & Activities and determine how the MDS effects facility reimbursement for both Medicare PPS & Medicaid Case Mix.
