Reportal User Guide - Guidance and important information to get started with the Reportal
Who uses the Reportal?
Community partners who are responsible for reporting
Hospitals & infection preventionists
Laboratories
Any non-public health entity that is required to report
Any public health agency to report certain conditions, such as, STIs, lead, etc.
The Reportal is designed as a tool for professionals reporting communicable diseases to public health. It is meant to capture conditions not currently being reported to CDPHE by your facility through Electronic Lab Reporting (ELR), Simple Report, or Report Stream (these systems will not change).
All hospital IPs, labs, and other reporters should verify that they report all reportable conditions via ELR, Reportal, or fax. Not all conditions are lab reportable, so we encourage registering here: https://reportal.colorado.gov/, as it will be a mechanism for reporting many conditions that do not require a lab test.
IMPORTANT:
Facilities can use the Reportal to report COVID-associated hospitalizations. The COPHS system is sunsetting and all users must transition to the Reportal. If you are unsure of your facility's status in COPHS or need information to away from COPHS, please do not hesitate to contact cdphe_covid_data@state.co.us for more information.
Additionally the Reportal can be used to enter treatment for STIs and other specific conditions.
All STIs require treatment to be reported.
