This job aid is for Report Developers only. It describes the process of accessing and navigating Power BI which is the advanced report writing tool for insights.
Click the LHN link on the CORE Homepage.
2. Enter your network ID and click Submit.
This is the same ID you use to log in to your computer (e.g.,: end with @dpa.state.co.us)
3. Enter your password for your network ID and then click Sign in
4. You may be asked to set up your Microsoft Authenticator
Follow the instructions to set it up. If you already use Microsoft Authenticator, this will be an additional account within it.
5. Click the Workspaces button from the left-hand navigation menu. This will allow you to access your assigned Workspace, based on your department, and is where you will save reports for your agency users.
Do not click on the New Report button at the top of the homepage. Doing so will only create and save a report to your individual report developer workspace, and no one will be able to access to those reports. Report developers should only create reports in the department workspace.
6. Clicking the Workspaces button will show a list of the workspaces you have access to (example shown may show more workspaces than average user has access to).
7. Once in the workspace, click on New item
8. After clicking Add New Item, options for what to make will appear. Currently, we only use Report, which creates an "Analytic" and a Paginated Report.
9. Once you click on your report option, you need to click on Pick a published semantic model.
10. You should see all of the semantic models that you have access to, which is the equivalent to a Universe:
