Any editable grid in CORE can be transformed into an Advanced Grid format by selecting the Advanced Grid icon. This allows for advanced analysis, such as creating a pivot table from the data in the grid action view.
Advanced Grids include a column menu accessed by hovering your mouse over the column heading and then selecting the column menu icon that appears. Additionally, a sidebar displays the Columns and Filters sections in collapsed mode. You can expand the Columns sidebar to access the Pivot table and make changes to the Pivot table as needed. Expand the Filters sidebar to access filter options. Note: Exporting the grid data to a spreadsheet will not pull the pivoted view.
Advanced Grid Column Menu Functions
Pin Column
Select Pin Column > Pin Left or Pin Column > Pin Right to move the column to the far left or right of the grid.
This keeps the column fixed in place while you scroll horizontally.
Multiple columns can be pinned.
Select Pin Column > No Pin to remove the pin.
Autosize This Column: Automatically adjusts the column width based on the data it contains.
Autosize All Columns: Automatically adjusts the width of all columns based on their data.
Group by <Column Name>
Group all records in the grid based on the unique values in the selected column.
Alternatively, drag columns to the header area where it says “Drag here to set row groups.”
Remove a grouping by selecting the “x” next to the column name.
Note: Grouping is unavailable if you are viewing more than 100 records in the grid pagination.
Reset Columns: Reverts all columns to the original, delivered view.
Side Bar: Displays the Columns and Filters sections in a collapsed state.
Expand the Columns sidebar to access the Pivot table and make changes as needed.
The Columns tab allows you to remove columns from the grid by clearing the corresponding check box (same functionality as the Configure Columns icon).
Expand the Filters sidebar to access additional filter options.
The Filter tab allows you to filter the data based on column values.
