Note that crashes are not accidental. They are preventable. Please use the word crash instead of accident when discussing traffic safety.
We are a no-cost statewide coalition, hosted by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).
We are a collaborative group that shares updates, ideas and resources, traffic safety wins, and common goals. Anyone working in traffic safety throughout the state of Colorado is welcome to join. We ask that you attend meetings when you are able and participate as you can. Members are encouraged to join subcommittee groups that move our goals forward. If you cannot join meetings, you can stay up to date with our work by joining our email list (click here to join).

Goal 1: Expand the focus of CYDA to include young drivers, young passengers, and young road users.
Goal 2: Address youth road safety needs through data-informed approaches
Goal 3: Restructure CYDA to encourage more active and engaged members
Goal 4: Incorporate youth perspectives into CYDA’s work.
