CYDA’s mission is to empower Colorado youth to stay safe on the road.

Formed in 2005, CYDA is a coalition of state and local agencies, non-profit organizations, and private-sector partners that work together to reduce motor vehicle crashes, injuries, and fatalities involving young drivers, and improve young driver safety across the state.

CYDA focuses on the following topics:

• Increasing awareness and education about Colorado's Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) laws.

• Increasing seat belt use among young drivers and passengers statewide.

• Addressing risk and protective factors for Colorado young drivers.

• Improving the safety of passengers, youth, and vulnerable road users.
