PSAP Service Capabilities

Note: There is no mandate or requirement that Public Safety Answering Points (9-1-1 centers) provide these services in Colorado. These maps are provided to help provide transparency regarding the service capabilities of 9-1-1 centers across the state.

Legend

This map shows the ability of callers to send text messages to 9-1-1.

Red = No text-to-911 service provided in this service area.

Yellow = Text-to-911 service available in some, but not all, of this service area.

Green = Text-to-911 service available wherever the user is able to obtain a wireless telephone signal.

Legend

This map shows the ability of 9-1-1 centers to provide Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD) services, including the ability to provide medical Pre-Arrival Instructions (PAI), over the phone.

Red = No EMD/PAI service provided in this service area.

Yellow = EMD/PAI service available in some, but not all, of this service area.

Green = EMD/PAI service available wherever the user is able to obtain a wireless telephone signal.

This map shows the ability of 9-1-1 centers to provide live Foreign Language Interpretation (FLI) for callers that do not speak English proficiently.

Red = No FLI service provided in this service area.

Yellow = FLI service available in some, but not all, of this service area.

Green = FLI service available wherever the user is able to obtain a wireless telephone signal.
