Welcome to Colorado Workforce Advantage, a collection of resources aimed to ensure the success of the Division of Employment & Training staff and Local Workforce Area partners in their work to support the people of Colorado.
The Division of Employment and Training (E&T) oversees many of the State’s Federal Workforce Programs and state-funded and discretionary programs. E&T is responsible for administering and delivering programs that support the Colorado Workforce System. E&T connects youth and adults who are new to or re-entering the labor force, as well as those who are unemployed, underemployed, special populations, Veterans, and incumbent workers to employers. E&T also connects employers to a skilled labor pool.
To learn more about E&T, please see the "CDLE Workforce Development Programs Video: Who We Are and What We Do" .
Business Services include business and staff support, partnership development, resources, and hiring incentives to help strengthen the Colorado Workforce System talent pipeline. Business Services involve programs, grants, and initiatives that fund and support business success. See Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC), Federal Bonding and Foreign Labor Certification (FLC).
Regional Services serves as the primary point of contact between CDLE Workforce Development Programs and the 10 federally recognized Local Workforce Areas. The unit conducts statewide Program Monitoring, provides Technical Assistance and Training, responds to requests related to administration and service delivery of workforce programs, addresses monitoring discrepancies identified by USDOL, the Office of the State Auditor, and other external auditors, and serve as Subject Matter Experts (SME) for the WIOA Adult, Dislocated Worker, and Youth programs.
Career Services help job seekers find sustainable, meaningful and long-term employment. See Rapid Response Program, Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program, Migrant Seasonal Farmworker (MSFW) Program, Colorado Pathway Home, Disability Program Navigator (DPN) Program, Pathful Explore, My Colorado Journey, Governor's Summer Job Hunt, and Apprenticeships.
Management Information Systems (MIS) guides technical decision-making and delivers technical assistance for local and state government staff who are responsible for the delivery of Workforce Development services and programs. See Connecting Colorado.
