AP Music Theory
The AP® Music Theory course is a study of advanced music literacy, focusing on aural and written musical skills. This course covers material typically taught at a college freshman level. For students who plan to continue musical studies in college, this course offers an essential opportunity for in-depth study and preparation. Willing and academically prepared students who do not plan to major in music will have the opportunity to deepen their understanding and appreciation of the language of music.
