We will use the New York State Math Modules for our curriculum. Each student will be given a green math workbook that includes pages for practice and homework. Our year is made up of seven modules:
Properties of Multiplication and Division and Solving Problems with Units of 2–5 and 10
Place Value and Problem Solving with Units of Measure
Multiplication and Division with Units of 0, 1, 6–9, and Multiples of 10
Multiplication and Area
Fractions as Numbers on the Number Line
Collecting and Displaying Data
Geometry and Measurement Word Problems
One of the most beneficial things that you can do to help your child to be successful in third grade math and beyond is to practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division math facts at home. The goal is for students to be fluent in all multiplication and division facts within 100 by the end of third grade.
