Dear Parents and Students,
Please read the following information about summer school for 9th ,10th , and 11th graders:
As this year comes to a close, I would like to remind you of a few things regarding failing a
course and summer school here at Saint Anthony’s.
As stated in the Student Handbook:
Failing Grades: A failure in any course whether full or half-year, must be made up during the
summer, before a student may return to Saint Anthony’s High School the following year, as these failures cannot be repeated during the regular academic year, No Exceptions.
Students who fail more than 3 courses in an academic year will not be permitted to return to
Saint Anthony’s the next year. With this in mind, Summer School at Saint Anthony’s High School will be held in person. Dates and information are as follows:
IF YOU FAILED THE COURSE FOR THE YEAR:
Summer school will be Monday through Thursday in person and Friday (asynchronous) starting
Monday June 30th and ending August 1st . If the failed class is a Regents class and you would like to take the Regents exam you may at no extra cost. It is recommended that you attend the
regents review classes which will be August 4-8 and 11-13. Times of all in person classes TBD.
$450 for each course.
IF YOU FAILED THE REGENTS ONLY BUT PASSED THE COURSE:
or would like to take it again (2 options)
1. Regents prep course August 4-8 and 11-13.
8-2 hour sessions 16 hours total. Times TBD $275
2. 4 Hour Regents review August 18th Times TBD $200
REGENTS EXAM SCHEDULE (these dates cannot be changed as they are state exams)
Tuesday August 19th: Algebra I, English Language Arts, Global History & Geography II, Algebra II
Wednesday August 20th: US History & Government, Earth Science, Chemistry, Geometry, Living Environment
Registration will take place online on our website. Please register online as soon as you know there has been a failure. It would be a good idea to hold on to any textbooks from your home
district that may be used during summer school and return them once summer school is over.
You may also sign up for the nonremedial summer health course for credit at a cost of $495
(this is only available to Saint Anthony’s High School students).
Remember to register as soon as a failure is confirmed. If you are planning on attending
another summer school you must contact me for approval before signing up. Please note
