For spelling this week, we discussed the differences in the way we define "de", "un", and "dis". We practiced writing them in class under their corresponding prefixes. For homework, we used two different colored pens to write each word. One color was for the vowels, and one color was for the consonants.

Spelling can be a tricky subject. The best way to learn is to keep practicing and completing the homework.

Four students were called to the board to write the spelling words as I gave them. They all spelled them correctly. Special shout out to Maria who discovered the hidden Greek Root word in dehydrated. Well done, Maria!

Our text was all about Special Effects! We read about ways that movie makers create the illusion of a fantasy world, or create the illusion of very small people vs very big people. Dominic volunteered to be a part of a special effects experiment of our own. Here's the result!
