Dear Incoming Kindergarten Parents:
Welcome to St. Anthony of Padua Regional Catholic School!
1.) What time does school begin and end?
a. School begins at 8:00-8:20am at 8:22am you are considered late.
b. School ends at 2:40pm.
2.) What subjects are taught?
a. We follow all Archdiocese of Philadelphia curriculum standards.
b. Subjects: Religion, Math, Language Arts (Handwriting, Writing, Reading), Computer (they go to the computer room),
Library (they go to the Library), Gym (they go to the Gym) and Italian (is in the classroom).
c. We also offer ESL, Reading Specialist Classes and Speech through CORA and Title 1.
3.) What kind of technology do you have in the classroom?
a. Our classroom has a Smart Board which is used regularly.
b. Each student gets a Chromebook to take back and fourth to school.
c. We also use different websites at home.
4.) What are your percentage of ethnicity in your class for 2024-2025?
a. This year: Hispanics: 60%
Asians: 0%
Caucasians: 10%
African American: 30%
Other: 0%
5.) What extra activities does your class provide?
a. We do participate in the Phanatic About Reading Program. Which my class has won a visit from the Phillie Phanatic 4
times. Including 2021 year via Zoom.
b. At each Holiday we have a pizza party, fun activities and a movie for a fundraiser for the school. It is down in the hall with a DJ playing music and games.
c. We do not go on field trips unfortunately.
