You are in your motor home, cooking up some delicious meal. You thought of just the right spice as the finishing touch, but it's all the way in the back of the cabinet. With your hands full of grease and food particles, it's sure to cause a mess to dig it all the way out! Oh no, what do you do? Introducing the SpiceX!

SpiceX is a smart spice rack that allows you to access a variety of spices hands free! Simply open up your cabinet, and with a wave of your hand, the motorized Ferris wheel loaded with spices is under your control, allowing you to access spices even in the furthest reaches in the back of your cabinet.

Input:

Output:

Proximity sensor: Allows you to command the spice wheel to begin and rotate with just a wave of your hand in front of the sensor

Capacitive touch sensor: Use this if you like more tactile controls, performs the same function as the proximity sensor.

Potentiometer: Our team of engineers have also thoughtfully added a speed and direction control by a slider potentiometer to help you tune the movement to your liking.

Door Hall sensor: The Hall sensor reads the status of the door, whether if it's open or closed.

Spice Hall sensor: The Hall sensor reads the magnets embedded in the spice wheel, notifying the system that a new spice is being presented.

Main LED display: The central display greets you as soon as you open the cabinet door, and displays directions to guide you through the usage. It tells you if the spice wheel is moving or stopping, and when a new spice is being presented.

Elapsed time: If you are good at reading binary, there is also a time elapsed LED display that tells you how long it's been since you've opened the door.

Status indicator LED: Installed on the side of the cabinet structure, indicate if the machine is idle, rotating, or stopped.

Audio:  there is also audio feedback when the Ferris wheel stops.

Timeout: When there have been no operations for 20 seconds, the SpiceX automatically goes to sleep until you open the door again.
