High-school research program run by Stanford graduate students. Two schools in the San Jose district are visited every other Saturday over the course of the academic year. Work with high school students on science project that culminates in a research poster that they present at the year-end symposium. Have been mentoring high school students and actively involved in the leadership team from 2021 - 2024.
A high-school summer internship program hosted by Stanford University. Worked with five talented girls from various parts of the world (representing four countries!) to identify pulsar signals in Green Bank Telescope (GBT) data from the Pulsar Search Collaboratory (PSC) database. Check out their final research report and a press release featuring their Amazon Quicksight dashboard. One student, Khushi Upadhyay, had her paper on "Deep Learning for Pulsar Detection: Investigating Hyperparameter Effects on TensorFlow Classification Accuracy" recently accepted into the Journal of Emerging Investigators (JEI)!
A pen-pal exchange program with middle school students, aiming to demystify the people and the day-to-day of the STEM profession. Four pairs of letters are exchanged per year, each targeting a specific theme (a day in the life, career paths, overcoming obstacles, reflect & inspire). Provides training on how to engage younger audiences in scientific concepts.
