Workshop overview
This introductory workshop will focus on the fundamental concepts and skills needed to begin using Geographic Information Systems software for the exploration and analysis of spatial data using the open source GIS package QGIS.

Laptop requirements
Workshop attendees will need to bring thier own laptops to this workshop. Please also pre install QGIS (linkend below). We'll go over general installation issues together in class, but be aware we can not set aside time for individual IT troubleshooting.
QGIS installers
This workshop utilizes QGIS, and open source GIS application for Mac and Windows PCs. See the link below for the latest installers. We'll go over installation issues after the "What is GIS" discussion.
