If you have a vision, a calling, or a cause, this is the class for you.
This course for innovators and disruptors in any field who want to design a new venture, strengthen community advocacy and policymaking, accelerate social innovation, and upskill in high performance coaching. To do that, you must master the science of Capital Formation. Most people think “capital” is just money, but that’s only one of its many forms—there is also human capital, intellectual capital, process capital and cultural capital—and all are vital for any new venture or movement. You will learn how to think about each form of capital and how to design, nurture, sustain, and transform it, from the perspective of an entrepreneur, venture capitalist, coach and advocate.
In ENGR 306, you’ll also deeply explore and greatly expand your abilities as a thinker, innovator, leader and collaborator through reflective exercises and intimate interactions with invited experts, executive coaches as well as entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.
This course is open to all undergraduate and graduate students as well as postdocs from all schools including humanities and sciences, law, medicine, and education.
